As of April 2013, I am on the board of Wrap Up America and have been since early 2011. In addition to designing and updating content for the Wrap Up America website, I also provide hosting and technical support for the organization.
Requirements
- A website that allowed the organization to spread their goals and what they provide to the communicate
- A website that allowed the organization to receive montary donations that could then be used to provide blankets to the needy. This portion of the site used Paypal as a payment merchant and used the Instant Payment Notification service to record when a donation was made
- An administration panel that displayed donations on the site
- An internal message board that allowed board members to communicate on future projects
What Was Done
Wrap Up America is a national non-profit movement to collect new and used blankets from individuals and companies. They came to us wanting a website that allowed them to communicate with the community their mission, current progress, and future events. In addition, we have coded a custom data collection system so they can produce a report prior to an event to see how many new blankets to give to the various groups at their annual fort building event.
